Hernando County offers a wealth of family related activities. The Hernando County Fair, Swampfest, Blueberry Festival and the Brooksville Raid are just a few of the events brought to the community.
The Gulf of Mexico is located about 5 miles from Spring Hill. Fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, boating and the most spectaular sunsets in the U.S. are but a short ride away. Pine Island beach has scheduled drum circles, playground area and a gradual shoreline for family friendly days in the sun. Rogers Park has it's smaller beach and kayak launching area.

Enjoy exciting water slides, wildlife shows and river boat cruises where you may spot otters, turtles, deer, blue herons, bald eagles, fish, manatees, even an occasional alligator and the resident peacocks!
Nature lovers will enjoy the parks and hiking or biking trails in the county, too.
